With stakes as high inside the ring as outside of it, to this day boxers continue to try and beat each other not only with punches, but with hateful rhetoric. This film is a story about the iconic man behind the gloves told against the backdrop of a highly dangerous hyper-masculine combat sport still coming to terms with how it perceives sexuality sixty years on.

A.R.C have partnered with journalist Donald McRae to bring the stories and insights from his book 'A Man's World: the Double Life of Emile Griffith', published in 2015, to life. Donald joins the project as Consulting Producer.
